Restaurant Nutrition

The Restaurant Nutrition application allows a user to easily view nutritional information about restaurant menus and track what they have eaten. It can also synchronize their personal meal entries with the internet web site thePHRnetwork.com. More menu information will be added to the database over time and can be retrieved with the updater in the application. Features to be released in the next version can be found at the end of this description.
Restaurant Nutrition

  • The Restaurant Nutrition user can turn on diets to track calorie carbohydrates, protein, and fat to help track and quantify their dieting progress
  • The program can check for updated menu information on thePHRNetwork.com and download updated data as it is available
  • Each time a restaurant name appears in the program the map button near it can be touched to open the Maps application showing all of that restaurant’s nearby locations
  • Multiple people can track what they eat in this application at the same time by utilizing the concept of profiles
  • The application can either be setup to connect to the internet, or run as a standalone application saving data entries only to the iPhone.
  • Registered users of thePHRNetwork.com will enter their username and password which will tie their username in Restaurant Nutrition to their account on that site
  • Anytime a meal is entered on the iPhone, it can be transmitted and uploaded to the website and recorded there

We have requested information from Applebee’s, but the company has elected to not provide the data. We are attempting to get a baseline of information from one of their California restaurants. Keep your fingers crossed.

admin 1.21.2010

Yes, we are looking into the Android phone as well as others.

admin 1.21.2010

These are on the list. A new release will be out soon with 12 additional restaurants.

admin 1.21.2010

Yes, IHOP is in the new release of the application. Look for the next new release. New restaurants will be noted in the next release information.

Would like to see old chicago

Please continue to add more resturants. Please add Texas Roadhouse, McCallister’s Deli; Chedders….what would be great would be a way to delete things from a meal (e.g. grilled Chicken Cesaer salad without the dressing; hamburger without the mayo and cheese….etc). Thanks for looking into it!

In the nutritional info when it says quantity does the number mean one serving or one order? So for pei wei pad Thai chicken is it 560 calories for one order or for 1 serving in that order? And if it’s for one serving how do you know what the serving size is? Thanks

Love the app. Very helpful in tracking my food for my diabetes. Could you please add Krystal restaurant? I know it’s only in the southeast, but it’s really popular down here in Tennessee! Thanks!

Hawk 2.1.2010

Can you add Potbelly.

Neal bakker 2.6.2010

Can you guys add the info of a standard Chinese buffet? Everyone loves Chinese, I’m sure we would love to know about the soups, chicken, veggies, desserts? Thanks for the help and I use this app daily just to see what is being sold as these restaurants!! 5 stars!

admin 2.6.2010

This is a great idea. We will give some thought as to how apply this concept.

admin 2.6.2010

Yes, Potbelly is on the list for the next release which is 1.35. We have about 30 additional restaurants that will be added to the next release. Adding restaurants on a release will reduce the need for the online updates which are available through the Settings > Upate Menu option.

The Quantity is for 1, which relates to the nutritional information on the phone. Typically restaurants provide information without giving a “quantity” for their items. This is not the same as what you may see on food products, like potato chips, which may say a “quantity” is 13 chips.
